The Home Connections app is now live and can be accessed by iOS and Android users. This app allows you to easily view and bid for properties that are being advertised on Hart’s weekly bidding cycles.
To download the app, search Home Connect in your phone app store. The app will take you through a quick user guide, you will then need to click on Get started and choose Hart from the list of landlords that are shown.
From there all you need to do is log in with the same household ID and password you use to log in to the portal.

All phones support the app as long as they have the functionality to download applications. We recommend ensuring that auto update is set up on your apps so that your phone is always running the newest version.
Hart District Council has recently implemented changes to its Allocations Policy which went live on the 1st of June 2025. The new allocation criteria for eligibility, specifically around Local Connection, was consulted upon publicly, and the feedback received was positive and supportive of this change.
To be eligible for social housing, applicants must now be currently living in Hart and able to evidence a continuous two-year connection through residency to the District at the point of application.
Additionally, the previous eligibility criteria allowing applicants to apply based on close family association (i.e., family members who have lived in the district for 5 or more years), permanent employment and previous residency has been removed.
To reset your login details please complete one of the two forms depending on the credentials you have forgotten.

If you have been contacted by Hart and nominated to a property that you have placed a bid on, your application status will change to ‘Under Offer’. During this time you will not be able to log into the bidding site to bid on vacancies that are being advertised.

Applicants can change their passwords by clicking on Reset Login Information on the housing register portal and Forgotten My Login Details on the CBL site.
